I asked my form 3 students to write a dialogue about a friend asking another to help with the making of Sugar Cane and Water Chestnut Jelly for a party . I asked to be creative and to write a nice dialogue between the friends. So this is one of the compositions. I had so much fun reading and marking it that i decided to share it with all of you . I will write it as he wrote it so have fun reading . Suzana : Hai there , are you free?I like to ask you on how to make jelly for my open house this Sunday. Izzul : Oh yes! I am free alright . Besides, this homework can wait. Ladies first in my priority. Suzana : Hmm , you so sweet. Izzul :Oh yes ! This can not compare the sweetness of my jelly. Oh no! The day is getting dark, how about you come to my house alone , tomorrow. Suzana : Oh my , you are really romantic. Of course I will come. THE NEXT DAY…….. Suzana : Hai Izzul , are you ready ? Izzul : For what ? Suzana : Our Date on how to make jelly of course. Izzul : Oh that , of course I am. Firstly , We must need a jelly powder , sugar , a fresh sugar cane juice and water chestnuts that are peeled and diced. Suzana : Actually these ingredients are use to make what kind of jelly ? Izzul : My bad, These ingredients are used to make “sugar cane and water chestnut jelly”. Suzana : So how might we do it ? Izzul : Patient my friend . Firstly, we must dissolve the jellypowder in some cold water . Then put the dissolved jelly powder, sugar and cane juice into a medium sized saucepan. Suzana : Can we change the size of the saucepan? Izzul : It depends on how big you wanna make it . Izzul : Next , we stir it and bring the mixture to the boil on low heat. On this you need to be careful because safety first. Suzana : How touch . Then What? Izzul : We added the water chestnuts. After that , pour the jelly mixture into a 19 cm by 28 cm tray or a deep jelly mould. Then we can leave it to cool and set . Finally , we refrigerate it and serve well chilled. Suzana : Its that all.
Izzul : Yes, I think that’s all. Suzana : Oh by the way , do not forget to come to my house this weekend. Izzul : who going to miss it , I know I’m not . See you this weekend then . Bye. Suzana : Bye .
